File standards and conventions

 Folder Organization

 Your file space should be organized as follows:

  • Create a folder called ICS3U in your personal workspace

  • Inside ICS3U create folders called

    • Homework

    • Notes

    • Programs

  • Inside each of the above folders create folders called

    • Unit1

    • Unit2

    • Unit3

    • Unit4

    • Unit5

    • Unit6

   

Once you have organized your network space show the folders to your teacher.

 

File Naming Conventions

  • Follow the file naming information provided with each test, assignment and homework task  

  • When not specified always use descriptive file names 

    • e.g. Notes on File Management Sept 5 2007.doc

    • NOT blah.doc
